On the 30th of October, we celebrated the opening of Gateway Hotel’s new lobby, marking the first completed stage of our ongoing hotel-wide refurbishment.
The opening was officiated by Hotel Manager Eunice Renagi-Joe and Steamships Trading Managing Director Chris Daniells. This milestone moment was witnessed by our stakeholders, clients, and our Steamships family.
The Gateway Hotel was established in 1968 and holds historic value for the country, as well as for the many families, travellers, and businesses who have passed through its doors.
The new lobby also includes three new conference rooms, and its design pays tribute to Papua New Guinea’s unique culture and craftsmanship. We’re excited to finally share the beginning of a new era not only for Gateway Hotel & Apartments, but also for Coral Sea Hotels, Steamships Hospitality.
